There are several ways to unblock your chakras, with the most common including yoga poses, breathing exercises, and meditation. Some people also use healing stones, crystals, and sound therapy. Different techniques can help for each of the seven chakras that form the chakra system.
Many things can cause chakras to become blocked, such as holding on to anger, resentment, or other negative emotions. It can also be from physical injuries or emotional traumas.
Chakras can also get blocked from outside sources like pollution or other toxins.
When one of your chakras is blocked, it can cause physical, mental, or emotional imbalances. You may feel disconnected from yourself or others. You may also experience anxiety, depression, or other health problems.
There are seven chakras in the body, and each one can become blocked. The following is a list of the chakras and a brief description of the blockage:
The first chakra, located at the base of the spine, is responsible for our feelings of safety and security. When it is blocked, we may feel anxious or fearful.
To unblock the Root chakra, try grounding exercises such as walking barefoot on the earth or sitting in a chair with your feet flat on the ground. You can also try visualizations, such as imagining roots growing from your feet and anchoring you to the earth.
Finally, you can try yoga poses focusing on the Root chakra, such as Warrior I, Mountain Pose, and Tree Pose.

Now that you know some ways to unblock the Root chakra let's move on to the next chakra.
The second chakra is the Sacral chakra, located just below the navel. This chakra is responsible for our creativity. When it is blocked, we may feel creative blocks.
To unblock the Sacral Chakra, try exercises that get you out of your head and into your body. These activities can be anything from dance to painting to cooking.
Do something that gets you in touch with your senses and allows you to express yourself creatively.
Yoga poses focusing on the Sacral Chakra include Camel Pose, Pigeon Pose, and Lizard Pose.
When you finish your yoga practice, sit in meditation and imagine an orange light entering the Sacral Chakra area and filling your entire lower body.
The third chakra is the Solar Plexus chakra, located just below the breastbone. This chakra is responsible for our sense of personal power. When blocked, we may feel powerless or like we are not in control of our lives.
Try exercises that build confidence and self-esteem to unblock an overactive Solar Plexus chakra. Some ideas to try are affirmations and visualizations or journaling. Finding something that makes you feel good about yourself and gives you a sense of control is a great place to start.

When you finish your yoga practice, sit in meditation and imagine a yellow light entering the Solar Plexus chakra area and filling your entire upper body.
The fourth chakra is the Heart chakra, located in the center of the chest. This chakra is responsible for our ability to love and be loved. When it is blocked, we may feel unlovable or have difficulty giving or receiving love.
To unblock the Heart chakra, try exercises that focus on forgiveness and compassion. Loving-kindness meditation is an excellent place to start, as is gratitude journaling. Finding something that helps you let go of anger and resentment and cultivate love and understanding is essential.

When you finish your yoga practice, sit in meditation and imagine a green light entering the Heart Chakra area and filling your entire chest.
The fifth chakra is the Throat chakra, located in the throat. This chakra is responsible for our ability to communicate. When it is blocked, we may have difficulty expressing ourselves or be afraid to speak our truth. An overactive Throat chakra is also a sign of an unbalanced chakra.
To unblock the Throat chakra, try exercises that focus on self-expression. This can be anything from singing to journaling to public speaking. Finding something that helps you express yourself healthily and assertively is essential.
Yoga poses focusing on the Throat chakra include Lion Pose, Plow Pose, and Shoulder Stand.
When you finish your yoga practice, sit in meditation and imagine a blue light entering the Throat chakra area and filling your entire throat.
The sixth chakra is the Third Eye chakra, located between the eyebrows. This chakra is responsible for our ability to see clearly. When it is blocked, we may have difficulty focusing or difficulty trusting our intuition.
To unblock the Third Eye chakra, try exercises focusing on relaxation and visualization. This can be anything from visualization meditation to breath work to yoga. Finding something that helps you quiet the mind and connect with your intuition is essential.

When you finish your yoga practice, sit in meditation and imagine a purple light entering the Third Eye chakra area and filling your entire head.
The seventh chakra is the Crown chakra, located at the top of the head. This chakra is responsible for our connection to the divine. When it is blocked, we may feel disconnected from our spirituality or have difficulty finding meaning in life.
To unblock the Crown chakra, try exercises that focus on mindfulness and meditation. This can be anything from yoga to walking in nature to sitting in silence. Finding something that helps you connect with your higher self and the world around you is essential.
Yoga poses focusing on the Crown chakra include Lotus Pose, Headstand, and Handstand.
When you finish your yoga practice, sit in meditation and imagine a white light entering the Crown chakra area and filling your entire body.
Blocked chakras can cause physical, mental, and emotional imbalances. You can heal your chakras and regain balance by doing the exercises above.
