  • What if I am a total beginner at yoga, is that ok?

    100%, you are good to go, we love working with newbies. In fact, current research indicates that starting any new activity is best done under the guidance of an experienced practitioner to avoid developing any unhelpful habits. Ask about our 4 and 8 week Newbie Yogi Crash Courses. These are tweaked to meet you exactly where you are and build your confidence and abilities to join that group class you’ve been thinking about or give you the tools to start your own practice at home in a safe and comfortable way.

  • What types of yoga do you offer?

    Quite a lot actually! Here’s a quick list:

  • Which type of yoga should I do?

    That’s a big question! Let’s chat and figure it out together.

  • Can my kids do yoga sessions?

    We love kids, so yes! A parent or guardian must be onsite at all times (or hanging out in a different room).

  • Can I do a class if I have injuries?

    Absolutely, we help clients with everything from recent to chronic conditions. Depending on the seriousness of the issue you will be required to do an assessment with an Anahana Specialist or provide additional background information from your medical practitioner.

  • What radius in Toronto do you cover for in-home yoga lessons?

    As much as we can, here are the main areas (other areas are also serviced with an additional travel fee):

  • What type of accreditation do your yoga instructors have?

    All of our instructors are certified with the Yoga Alliance and fully insured.

  • How long are sessions?

    Anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours depending on what we are helping you with. Streaming meditation and breathing sessions start at 20 minutes and in home is generally one hour.

  • Do you offer individual sessions or is membership required?

    Individual in-home and live streaming classes are offered for most types of yoga while some other services are only available to Anahana Wellness Passport members. (Note: Our Wellness Passport Program is currently wait-listed until January 2020).

  • How do I monitor my yoga progress?

    We take care of your progress! Our instructors take a long term approach to your health and wellness. Whether you’re working on short or long term goals, we’ll monitor, assess, and then reassess your development as you go. Check out our Anahana Wellness Process!

  • What is a Wellness Advisor?

    Do you want to be proactive in living a healthier, happier, and longer life? Wellness Advisors help you do just that by working with you to determine immediate and long term goals, strategies that work for you, and provide the tools and professionals to make it happen. We will help you get setup with the right member of our team and partner with other wellness experts depending on your needs.

  • How much do private yoga lessons cost?

    It varies depending on the type of service and your location. Shorter streaming sessions start at $65 and onsite/in-home can go up to $450+/hour for Anahana Specialists. HST is charged for some services and not others per CRA regulations. Insurance can cover some services.

  • What fitness equipment will I need?

    All you need to do is show up! Or a least be there when we show up! If you have equipment already our instructors will make use of any props they deem helpful on a given day.

  • Ok, I am 100% in! When can I start?

    Usually right away! Ok, maybe tomorrow. The first step is to chat with an Anahana Wellness Advisor so we can learn a little more about how we can help you best and match you with just the right instructor to meet your wellness goals.
