  • Is yoga good for athletes?

    Yes! Yoga is a perfect compliment to sports training. We focus on mobility, stability, and flexibility training as well as many other sports pre and rehab techniques to help athletes improve their game.

  • What is the best type of yoga for athletes?

    Great question! And this depends on the goals of each athlete; restorative yoga is great to promote muscle repair while vinyasa yoga is great to work on balance and strength. We’re able to mix and match the style(s) for a custom program that works alongside your current training.

  • Does yoga improve athletic performance?

    Many professional sports coaches are including yoga as part of training both on and off season. From improved mobility to increased mental focus through breath work, yoga has a great ability to improve athletic performance.

  • Does yoga reduce injuries?

    The focus of muscle and spine strengthening found in yoga practice makes your tendons and ligaments less susceptible to breakdown and tear. We see yoga as a proactive approach towards restoration, repair, and overall health and wellness longevity.

  • What type of accreditation do your yoga instructors have?

    All of our instructors are certified with the Yoga Alliance and fully insured.

  • How long are sessions?

    Anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours depending on what we are helping you with. Streaming meditation and breathing sessions start at 20 minutes and in-home is generally one hour.

  • How do I monitor my yoga progress?

    We take care of your progress! Our instructors take a long term approach to your health and wellness. Whether you’re working on short or long term goals, we’ll monitor, assess, and then reassess your development as you go. Check out our Anahana Wellness Process!

  • What is a Wellness Advisor?

    Do you want to be proactive in living a healthier, happier, and longer life? Wellness Advisors help you do just that by working with you to determine immediate and long term goals, strategies that work for you, and provide the tools and professionals to make it happen.

  • How much do private yoga lessons cost?

    It varies depending on the type of service and your location. Shorter streaming sessions start at $65 and onsite/in-home can go up to $450+/hour for Anahana Specialists. HST is charged for some services and not others per CRA regulations. Insurance can cover some services.

  • What fitness equipment will I need?

    All you need to do is show up! Or a least be there when we show up! If you have equipment already our instructors will make use of any props they deem helpful on a given day.

  • Ok, I am 100% in! When can I start?

    Usually right away! Ok, maybe tomorrow. The first step is to chat with an Anahana Wellness Advisor so we can learn a little more about how we can help you best and match you with just the right instructor to meet your wellness goals.
