To define yoga, we need to look back to around 5,000 to 3,500 BCE. During an expedition in India the explorers came across wall inscriptions dating back to this time period and these inscriptions were referring to the practice we today call yoga. There are many different definitions of yoga where one is the union, union between the limited self and the divine self. Other definitions apply to all levels of existence and awareness. To create a harmony physically in the functions between our organs, muscles, and nerves so they do not hamper each other. In short, Yoga stands for a physical harmony along with a mental and health balance and peace.
