Anahana has access to the best pilates instructors to guide you through tailored, one-on-one pilates instruction.  While group and studio pilates are good options, imagine creating a private pilates space right in the comfort of your own home. 

From core work to muscle lengthening, we build the right pilates program for your goals. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced (or somewhere in between!), our instructors provide expert care and attention to help you gain the most out of your session.

  • Chat with an Anahana Wellness Advisor to walk through your goals and tell us a little bit about yourself
  • We’ll listen, ask questions, and then match you with the right instructor to best help you achieve what you’re looking for 
  • Meet your certified pilates instructor and start your first in-home session
  • Your personal pilates studio: mat workouts and/or instruction on your home equipment (our team can also advise on building your own pilates space with equipment that’s right for you*)
  • Keep it moving. Our in-home pilates instruction adapts and grows with you, one of the many advantages of signing on to Anahana’s private in-home pilates!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if I am a total beginner at pilates, is that ok?

    100%, you are good to go, we love working with newbies. In fact, current research indicates that starting any new activity is best done under the guidance of an experienced practitioner to avoid developing any unhelpful habits. Ask about our 4 and 8 Week Pilates Crash Courses. These are tweaked to meet you exactly where you are and work with you to build your confidence and abilities to build your personal pilates practice.

  • Can I do a class if I have injuries?

    Absolutely, we help clients with everything from recent to chronic conditions. Depending on the seriousness of the issue, you will be required to do an assessment with an Anahana Specialist or provide additional background information from your medical practitioner.

  • What radius in Toronto do you cover for in-home pilates lessons?

    As much as we can, here are the main areas (other areas are also serviced with an additional travel fee):

  • What type of accreditation do your pilates instructors have?

    Our instructors are fully insured and trained in various methods of Pilates including: Stott, Classical, and Body Harmonics. Many of our instructors also hold advanced certification on all apparatus, including: Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, and Barrels.

  • How long are sessions?

    Pilates sessions are generally 1 hour. 

  • Do you offer individual sessions or is membership required?

    Individual in-home and live streaming classes are offered for most types of pilates while some other services are only available to Anahana Wellness Passport members. (Note: Our Wellness Passport Program is currently wait-listed until January 2020).

  • How do I monitor my pilates progress?

    We take care of your progress! Our instructors take a long term approach to your health and wellness. Whether you’re working on short or long term goals, we’ll monitor, assess, and then reassess your development as you go. Check out our Anahana Wellness Process!

  • What is a Wellness Advisor?

    Do you want to be proactive in living a healthier, happier, and longer life? Wellness Advisors help you do just that by working with you to determine immediate and long term goals, strategies that work for you, and provide the tools and professionals to make it happen. We will help you get setup with the right member of our team and partner with other wellness experts depending on your needs.

  • How much do private pilates sessions cost?

    It varies depending on the type of service and your location. Shorter streaming sessions start at $65 and onsite/in-home can go up to $450+/hour for Anahana Specialists. HST is charged for some services and not others per CRA regulations. Insurance can cover some services.

  • What fitness equipment will I need?

    If you have home pilates equipment, great! We can build a pilates program around your home studio. If not, no worries! Our pilates instructors also provide robust mat workouts that give you all the same strengthening and lengthening results you’re looking for.

  • Ok, I am 100% in! When can I start?
